Joe is a physician-scientist whose work spans clinical care in the ICU and research in critical illness. Across both settings, he is dedicated to training the next generation of physicians and scientists.

Bindu Madhavi Madabattula, MS

Researcher II

Bindu joined the Bednash Lab in 2023 after earning a Master’s Degree from Wayne State University. She serves as our lead research technician and most experienced lab member.

Michael Segreto

Research Senior Technician

An aspiring physician-scientist with the goal of attending medical school, Michael began his research career as an undergraduate research technician. After graduating from OSU in 2025, he continued to explore tRNA biology in ARDS as a full time lab member.

Siri Ponna

Undergraduate Research Technician

Siri is our newest lab member, joining the group in 2024 as an undergraduate research technician. Currently a sophomore at Ohio State, she is working towards medical school applications.

Finny Johns

Undergraduate Research Technician

Finny will forever be the first member of Bednash Lab at the Ohio State University. He joined as a post-bachelors researcher and is currently an MS4 at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
